Job Description: DevSecops

Preferred : 4yrs+ relevant experience.

Location : Bangalore

Must have skills :

  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools and practices, including Jenkins and Git.
  • Experience with automation tools and scripting languages.
  • Strong understanding of security concepts and principles.
  • Ability to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
  • Hands-on experience with security scanning tools such as Nessus and Blackduck.

  • You will play a key role in the overall estimation of work requirements to provide the right information on project estimations to Technology Leads and Project Managers.

Roles and responsibilities :

1. Proficiency in CI/CD Tools and Practices :
  • Utilize CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and Git to establish automated pipelines for continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of software applications.
  • Implement best practices for version control, branching strategies, and code review workflows within Git repositories.
  • Configure and manage Jenkins pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes, ensuring fast and reliable software delivery.
2. Experience with Automation Tools and Scripting Languages :
  • Develop automation scripts using scripting languages like Python, Bash, or PowerShell to streamline repetitive tasks and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Integrate automation frameworks and tools into CI/CD pipelines to automate testing, security scanning, and infrastructure provisioning processes.
  • Collaborate with development and operations teams to identify opportunities for automation and implement scalable solutions.
3. Strong Understanding of Security Concepts and Principles :
  • Apply comprehensive knowledge of security concepts, including authentication, authorization, encryption, and compliance frameworks, to design and implement secure DevOps practices.
  • Evaluate security requirements and constraints throughout the software development lifecycle, from design to deployment, and ensure adherence to security standards and policies.
  • Collaborate with security teams to conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and security reviews, proactively identifying and addressing security risks.
4. Ability to Identify and Remediate Security Vulnerabilities :
  • Conduct security assessments and vulnerability scans using tools such as Nessus and Blackduck to identify potential security weaknesses in code, configurations, and infrastructure.
  • Analyze security scan results, prioritize vulnerabilities based on severity and impact, and collaborate with development teams to remediate identified issues.
  • Implement security controls, patches, and configurations to mitigate security risks and maintain the integrity and confidentiality of systems and data.
