Job Description

A highly skilled and experienced Embedded Software Solution Architect who can play a pivotal role in solutioning and architecting embedded systems applications. The Embedded Software Solution Architect will drive architecture, create blueprints and build solutions based on specific / custom requirements across industries - Automotive, Telecom, High Tech, Medical Devices, I4.0 etc.

SkillsLead the solution design and architecture of embedded systems for a variety of applicationsStrategize, understand, assess, estimate and select right-fit technologies and resources to address customer needsDefine and implement embedded system architectures, considering appropriate resources, hardware selection, communication protocols, applications, and performance requirementsIn-depth knowledge of embedded system principles, including hardware architectures, software design patterns, and real-time systems. Practical experience in software engineering techniques, frameworks, tools and design methodologiesExcellent understanding and experience across operating systems (VxWorks / Linux / Android etc.), Kernels, Device drivers, BSPs, Porting, Memory / Power Optimization, Multi-threading, IoT, Peripherals, Firmware, Middleware and ApplicationsExperience with microcontrollers (e.g., ARM, Intel), SoCs, embedded processors. Knowledge of DSP processors, multimedia algorithms etc. is a plusKnowledge of hardware accelerators, trade-off of using hardware and/or software to ensure quicker product development, optimal quality and performanceExperience with embedded systems including hardware/software integration, strong understanding of system-level design concepts and trade-offsExcellent knowledge in low level C++ and C programming languages. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python / Shell scripting is a plusCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate embedded systems with hardware and mechanical components and higher-level business software applications / cloudInterface with customers, suppliers, application users and other technical and support personnel, as requiredExcellent problem-solving and debugging skills, Ability to analyze and solve complex engineering problems thru proper design and planningWork independently and in collaboration with other team members and project stakeholdersQualificationsBachelor’s or Master's degree in related engineering disciplines (Electronics, Computer science or software engineering)15+ years of relevant experience in embedded engineering
