Axis AMC is looking to hire a Senior Analyst – India Mid & Small Caps in its AIF & PMS Investments Team. This position will be based in Mumbai, reporting into Head of Investments.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic individual who can assist the Senior Fund Management team by performing fundamental industry and company level analysis in the Investment Universe tracked by the organization.


What will you Do?

  • As a Senior Analyst – India Mid & Small Cap, you will cover a few industries as a specialist and have an overview across India’s Mid & Small Cap universe. You will be part of the Investment Team that covers most of the Nifty 500 stocks; with top 300 being in detailed coverage. This Investment Team currently manages Multicap fund, thematic Technology Fund and a Mid & Small cap fund.
  • The candidate should have a minimum of six years of directly relevant experience on Indian buy side or the sell side or both. The candidate is expected to have expertise in atleast 3-4 industries and needs to have abilities to cover more.
  • The candidate should have a good understanding of industry structure, its growth & profitability drivers, competitiveness levels and linkages to GDP movements.
  • Capabilities in financial statement analysis, understanding of company’s fundamentals in terms of nature of its business, growth dynamics, cost structure, and competitive positioning.
  • Should be willing to work hard in diverse areas. Knowledge industries such as BFSI, Pharma, IT, FMCG, Chemicals, Automotive will be necessary. Primarily responsibility is to appraise the investment opportunities and provide credible outcomes to Fund Management team.
  • Should have ability to read and absorb acknowledged research papers and testing their assertions / findings using quantitative models.
  • Should have fine people skills, ability to get along with others and should bring positive orientation and energy to work.
  • The Candidate will be responsible for covering companies and writing brief analysis for the companies mentioned in the investment universe of Axis AMC.
  • Strong research and analytical skills including the ability to gather, interpret and effectively communicate macroeconomic, capital market and company specific data.


What makes you a Great Fit?

  • PG from leading educational institutions in India or abroad such as IIT/IIM/ISB Certification from the CFA Institute, USA - Chartered Financial Analyst will be an added advantage.
  • Candidate is expected minimum of 6 years of relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in financial, mathematical and statistical techniques are prerequisites.
  • Should be continuously involved in evolving system and process within the team to benefit the organization.
  • The candidate should have advanced skills in Investment Management, Company and Industry research.
