Position :: Werum PAS-X with SAP-MES Integration

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

1. MES-SAP Integration:

  • Design and implement robust interfaces between SAP ERP and Werum PAS-X MES using SAP PI/PO or CPI.
  • Ensure seamless data exchange for production orders, material master data, equipment status, and batch records.
  • Collaborate with SAP functional teams (PP, QM, MM) and MES architects to align integration logic.
  • Troubleshooting issues related to SAP-MES interfaces and providing timely resolution along with RCA
  • Knowledge of SAP modules such PP, PM, QM,MM etc.

2. MES System:

  • Well versed with PAS-X modules including:
  • Master Batch Records (MBRs)
  • Equipment Management
  • Material Flow
  • Weigh & Dispense
  • Electronic Batch Records (EBR)
  • KP-Info module – Inbound & Outbound IDOCS

3. Validation & Compliance:

  • Knowledge of Computer System Validation (CSV) activities for MES and interfaces.
  • Author and execute IQ/OQ/PQ protocols.
  • Ensure full compliance with:
  • 21 CFR Part 11 (electronic records and signatures)
  • GxP (Good Manufacturing Practices)
  • GDP (Good Documentation Practices)
  • GAMP 5 guidelines

4. Project Execution & Support:

  • Participate in MES deployment projects across global manufacturing sites.
  • Provide post-go-live support and troubleshooting for MES-SAP interfaces.
  • Coordinate with automation teams for Level 2/3 system integration (e.g., OSI PI, DeltaV).

5. Documentation & Training:

  • Prepare SOPs, user manuals, and training materials.
  • Conduct workshops for business users and technical teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Technical Expertise:
  • 8–12 years of experience in MES systems, with at least 5 years in Werum PAS-X.
  • Strong knowledge of SAP PI/PO or CPI middleware.
  • Experience with ISA-95 and S88 standards.
  • Regulatory Knowledge:
  • Deep understanding of 21 CFR Part 11, GxP, GDP, and CSV.
  • Experience in regulated environments (pharma, biotech, medical devices).
  • Tools & Technologies:
  • Werum PAS-X v3.1.8, 3.3.X
  • SAP ERP (PP, QM, MM)
  • OSI PI, LIMS, OPC, Kepware
  • SQL, XML, and basic scripting
  • Soft Skills:
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work in cross-functional and multicultural teams.
