Senior Test Lead

The Quality Analyst position within the Life and Health Re team report to the Testing COE Lead. Collaborating closely with the Expert Test Lead, this role focuses on developing Automation and Functional tests. Additionally, it involves constructing Performance and Load tests to assess applications across the Life and Health Re landscape. The primary function of this role is to evaluate software applications or systems to pinpoint defects, bugs, or inconsistencies that may impact user experience or functionality. Responsibilities include designing and executing test plans, creating automated testing scripts, and analyzing test outcomes to ensure software products meet quality standards and satisfy user needs.
Responsibilities
Design and develop test automation scripts in alignment with established standards.Adhere to test automation standards and guidelines established by the business unit.Manage testing-related responsibilities for one or more Product areas throughout the SDLC.Collaborate effectively with developers and business analysts to devise solutions.Focus on continuous QA enhancements, including the utilization of appropriate testing tools, techniques, and automation.Uphold quality standards set by testing leadership and ensure compliance with technical and testing protocols.Monitor all QA activities, test results, defect occurrences, conduct root cause analyses, and identify areas for improvement. Implement necessary steps to enhance processes.Ensure optimal utilization of available tools to maximize the benefits of QA efforts, encompassing functional, performance, and security testing tools.Support the development of new Proof of Concepts (POCs) with emerging tools in the market that meet various business requirements.Collaborate with the Development team to devise and execute QA strategies and test plans, aiming to surpass departmental and corporate quality objectives.
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's or master's degree in IT, a related field, or business administration.At least 4-6 years of experience in the field with a proven track record of success.Highly motivated candidate with effective global communication skills, capable of engaging across various functional areas and organizational levels.Possesses strong technical aptitude and customer-focused mindset, complemented by exceptional interpersonal and business management abilities.Experience and familiarity with Agile methodology or project management certifications.Fundamental understanding of the life and health insurance and reinsurance industry, including products and services offered by different companies in the sector.Previous experience in test automation for Web, API, ML model validations, and mobile applications.Prior experience with tools such as Selenium (using Java/Python), Cucumber, Cypress, Rest Assured, and Postman.Knowledge or prior experience in performance testing or security testing, including tools like Load Runner, JMeter, or other security tools, is advantageous.Proficient hands-on skills in Java and Python provide an added advantage.About Swiss ReSwiss Re is one of the world’s leading providers of reinsurance, insurance and other forms of insurance-based risk transfer, working to make the world more resilient.
