Technical business analyst

Job Title: Technical Business Analyst – Integration Job Summary: We are seeking a highly analytical and technically proficient Technical Business Analyst with a strong focus on integration to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will serve as a critical bridge between business stakeholders, technical teams, and product owners, ensuring seamless alignment between business requirements and technical implementation. This role requires deep expertise in integration solutions, API design, data flow modeling, and system interoperability across diverse platforms and technologies. Key Responsibilities: Elicit, analyze, document, and validate business and technical requirements for integration projects across enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM, legacy applications, cloud platforms). Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, developers, and Dev Ops teams to translate complex business processes into clear, actionable technical specifications. Design and document integration architectures, including API contracts, message formats, data mapping rules, transformation logic, and error handling mechanisms using tools such as Swagger, RAML, Postman, or Soap UI. Lead the creation of detailed functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and integration test cases. Facilitate workshops, discovery sessions, and backlog refinement meetings to ensure shared understanding and alignment across teams. Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation of integration solutions and validate that deliverables meet business and technical requirements. Conduct impact analysis for changes in business processes, system dependencies, and data flows. Support end-to-end integration lifecycle including design, development, testing (UAT), deployment, and post-production monitoring. Identify and document integration risks, dependencies, and non-functional requirements (e.g., performance, security, scalability, reliability). Maintain comprehensive documentation of integration points, data flows, system interfaces, and configuration settings. Assist in troubleshooting integration issues by analyzing logs, tracing data paths, and collaborating with technical teams. Stay current with emerging integration patterns, technologies (e.g., i Paa S, event-driven architecture, message brokers), and industry best practices. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst or similar role, with at least 3 years focused on integration projects. Proven experience in enterprise-level integration across systems such as SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or custom applications. Strong understanding of integration patterns: point-to-point, API-first, event-driven, message queuing (e.g., Kafka, Rabbit MQ), and middleware solutions. Hands-on experience with API design and management tools (e.g., Swagger, Postman, Apigee, Mule Soft, Azure API Management). Proficiency in working with RESTful and SOAP-based web services, JSON, XML, and data transformation technologies (e.g., XSLT, JSONata). Familiarity with integration platforms (i Paa S) such as Azure Logic Apps, AWS Step Functions, Mule Soft, or Dell Boomi. Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences. Experience with data modeling, ETL processes, and data quality assessment. Knowledge of security standards (OAuth, JWT, SSL/TLS) and compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, etc.) in integration contexts. Nice to Have: Certification in Agile (CSM, SAFe), API Management, or Integration platforms (e.g., Mule Soft Certified Developer). Experience with low-code/no-code integration tools or automation platforms. Exposure to cloud integration services (Azure Integration Services, AWS App Flow, Google Cloud Integration).
