Senior Software Tester

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Tester with extensive experience in both manual and automation testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in testing mobile application frameworks like Flutter and backend server frameworks like Django. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and performance of our software products through meticulous testing and quality assurance practices.


*Test Planning and Strategy:*

- Develop, document, and maintain comprehensive test strategies, test plans, and test cases for Flutter mobile apps and Django backend systems.

- Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and define testing scope and objectives.


2. *Manual Testing:*

- Conduct detailed manual testing of mobile applications (Flutter) and backend systems (Django) to identify defects and ensure they meet functional and performance requirements.

- Perform functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing (UAT).


3. *Automation Testing:*

- Develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for Flutter mobile apps and Django backend using appropriate tools and frameworks.

- Identify and implement opportunities for test automation to enhance efficiency and coverage.


4. *Tools and Frameworks:*

- Utilize tools such as Appium, Selenium, and Flutter-specific testing tools (e.g., Flutter Driver) for automation.

- Use testing frameworks compatible with Django environments.

- Employ tools like Postman or Swagger for API testing and validation.


5. *Quality Assurance:*

- Ensure compliance with quality standards and best practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to development teams to enhance product quality.


6. *Documentation and Reporting:*

- Document and update test cases, test results, and defect reports.

- Generate and present detailed reports on testing activities, defect metrics, and overall quality indicators.

7. *Collaboration and Communication:*

- Work closely with developers, business analysts, and project managers to resolve issues and improve product quality.

- Mentor and provide guidance to junior testers and QA team members.


8. *Continuous Improvement:*

- Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies in software testing, particularly in mobile and backend testing.

- Propose and implement improvements to testing processes, tools, and methodologies.


*Qualifications:*


- *Experience:*

- Minimum 2 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance.

- Extensive experience in testing mobile application frameworks like Flutter and backend server frameworks like Django.

- Proven experience in test automation and familiarity with automation tools (e.g., Appium, Selenium, Flutter Driver).

- *Skills:*

- Strong knowledge of testing methodologies and best practices for mobAppiumd backend applications.

- Proficiency in programming languages such as Dart (for Flutter), Java, and Python is a bonus.

- Experience with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, particularly for mobile apps and Django backend.

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

- Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.


Preferred Qualifications:*


- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).

- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS) and mobile cloud testing solutions.

- Experience with Django REST framework and testing APIs.
