Job Title: Java Backend Developer (with Production Support)Location: Pune

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Java Backend Developer who is also experienced in production support to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining backend systems and applications, with a strong focus on providing technical support for production environments. This role requires a strong foundation in Java development, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. You will be a key player in ensuring the stability, performance, and reliability of our production systems.

Key Responsibilities:Backend Development:Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and high-performance backend systems using Java.Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.Collaborate with front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers.Production Support:Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in the production environment to ensure the stability and availability of applications.Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for production incidents and implement solutions to prevent recurrence.Develop and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions to proactively identify and address potential issues.Respond promptly to production incidents, minimizing downtime and mitigating impact on users.Create and maintain detailed documentation of production incidents, resolutions, and preventive measures.Provide on-call support as needed and participate in incident management and resolution.Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for process improvements, automation, and optimization within the development and support lifecycle.Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance skills and knowledge.Participate in the development and enforcement of coding standards, development methodologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Java backend development.Strong understanding of Java, Spring Framework, Hibernate, and related technologies.Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and database design (SQL and NoSQL).Proven experience in production support and incident management.Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana), logging frameworks (e.g., Log4j, SLF4J), and version control systems (e.g., Git).Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively under pressure.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Work Environment:This position requires working from the office from Monday to Friday.Occasional weekend work may be required to support maintenance activities or incident resolution.The role may involve being on-call to address critical production issues.
