Job Description:

The Tax Preparer will be responsible for assisting our clients in preparing their US tax returns. This includes reviewing client financial information, identifying and preparing tax forms and reports, and other related duties.

The ideal candidate will be a team player who is able to work independently. The Tax Preparer will be responsible for maintaining client confidentiality and following all company policies.


Essential Functions:

- Previous experience as a US tax preparer of company and/or individual returns.

·Review client financial information to prepare them for tax returns

·Familiarity with the tax return submission and confirmation process, including how to navigate the IRS and other government entity online platforms

·Identify and prepare US tax forms and reports according to client requirements

·Maintain excellent customer service with clients, internal team members, and other external contacts

·Ensure that all work is completed in a timely manner to ensure clients receive the highest level of service

·Ability to multitask in fast-paced environment with many demands on you at one time

·Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude towards your colleagues and clients

·Strong analytical skills are required; ability to problem solve is a must; ability to learn quickly is a strength

·This position requires you to be flexible in your hours of work, including weekends if necessary.


Required Skills:

·Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with clients, other team members, and external parties.

·Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat Pro software (Required).

·Strong knowledge of American (US) tax laws and related concepts.

·Knowledge of accounting practices is an asset but is not required.

  • ·Knowledge of QuickBooks is an asset but is not required but may be useful in the event of an audit.
