We are seeking an experienced Backend Developer with a strong command of Node.js and over 5 years of hands-on experience in backend development. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and efficient backend solutions. Knowledge of cloud technologies like AWS, Firebase, and Lambda is highly desirable, though not mandatory.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, test, and maintain server-side components and APIs using Node.js.
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and other team members to deliver robust and user-friendly applications.
  • Design and optimize database systems for performance and scalability.
  • Build and maintain integrations with third-party services and APIs.
  • Ensure high performance and responsiveness of backend systems.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve technical issues as they arise.
  • Implement and enforce best practices for coding standards, security, and performance.


Essential Skills

  • 5+ years of professional experience in backend development with a focus on Node.js.
  • Proficiency in RESTful API design and development.
  • Strong understanding of asynchronous programming and event-driven architecture.
  • Experience with database technologies (SQL and NoSQL).
  • Familiarity with Git version control and CI/CD workflows.


Helpful Skills

  • Knowledge of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, etc.) and deployment workflows.
  • Familiarity with Firebase tools, such as Firestore and Firebase Functions.
  • Experience working with AWS Lambda for serverless computing.
  • Exposure to microservices architecture.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven track record of delivering scalable backend solutions in production environments.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
