Position Overview:


The Oracle Extension Specialist will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing custom Oracle Fusion SCM solutions and extensions. This senior-level position requires 10-15 years of experience as an Oracle Fusion Technical Specialist, with a deep understanding of Supply Chain Management (SCM) technical architecture. The ideal candidate will have strong development experience, including proficiency in Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) and microservices, with familiarity with AWS concepts.


Key Responsibilities:


Custom Development and Extension:


- Design, develop, and implement custom applications and extensions for Oracle Fusion SCM.


- Utilize Oracle VBCS to create and enhance visual builder applications.


- Develop microservices to support and extend Oracle Fusion SCM functionalities.


Technical Expertise in Oracle Fusion SCM:


- Apply deep technical knowledge of Oracle Fusion SCM to architect and implement solutions.


- Understand and leverage the technical architecture of Oracle Fusion SCM to address business requirements.


- Collaborate with SCM functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.


Solution Design and Implementation:


- Design scalable and efficient solutions using Oracle Fusion tools and technologies.


- Ensure integration of custom solutions with existing Oracle Fusion SCM modules and external systems.


- Conduct technical reviews and provide recommendations for optimizing custom developments.


Microservices Development:


- Develop and deploy microservices to enhance Oracle Fusion SCM capabilities.


- Utilize AWS concepts and services to design cloud-based solutions.


- Ensure microservices are designed for high availability, scalability, and performance.


Collaboration and Communication:


- Work closely with stakeholders, including business analysts, functional teams, and other developers.


- Participate in project planning, requirement analysis, and technical design discussions.


- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.


Testing and Quality Assurance:


- Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for custom solutions and extensions.


- Perform thorough testing to ensure quality, functionality, and performance of developed solutions.


- Debug and resolve issues identified during testing and post-implementation.


Documentation and Training:


- Create and maintain technical documentation for custom developments and integrations.


- Provide training and support to users and technical teams on new solutions and extensions.


- Ensure knowledge transfer and handover of developed solutions to operational teams.


Continuous Improvement:


- Stay updated with the latest Oracle Fusion and AWS technologies and best practices.


- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in development.


- Contribute to the continuous enhancement of development methodologies and tools.


Qualifications:


Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.


Experience:


- 10-15 years of experience as an Oracle Fusion Technical Specialist with a focus on SCM.


- Extensive experience in designing and developing custom solutions using Oracle VBCS.


- Proven experience in developing microservices and familiarity with AWS concepts.


Technical Skills:


- Strong proficiency in Oracle Fusion SCM technical architecture and development tools.


- Expert in Oracle Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) and its application development.


- Proficient in microservices development and cloud services, particularly AWS.


- Strong understanding of integration methods, including RESTful APIs and web services.


- Proficiency in SQL, PL/SQL, and other Oracle development languages and tools.
