Technical superintendent for or a growing fleet of oil / chemical tankers based in MumbaiQualifications & SkillsMEO Class I COCMinimum 1 year sailing in a senior rank on oil /chemical tankers or 1 Year shore experience with a ship management company in the technical department handling Oil /Chemical Tankers.Fluent in English and able to work in a multicultural environment.Experience with oil major inspections.Experience in budget planning and control.Experience in preparation and execution of dry dockings.Good communication, planning and team skills.Ability to coordinate and work under pressure.Good computer skills.ResponsibilitiesTechnical supervision of vessels guided by company policies, ensuring:- vessels comply with Flag and International Maritime Regulations.- day to day activities - Planned maintenance system & defect reporting system, critical spares, risk assessment, environment reporting, voyage reporting, ship certificates and class status, lube oil and bunker analyses - are followed up closely.- class surveys are arranged on time and convenient location & COCs are closed out promptly.- prompt close out of defects noted in class, internal & external audits, PSC, oil major vetting.- compliance with company KPIs.- lube oils, stores, spares and servicing and repair requirements for the vessels are promptly and efficiently met, guided by the budget allocated for the various items.- dry-dock list is kept always updated, prepare drydocking plans & attend vessel drydocking.Guiding staff on board on technical matters and keeping them updated with various technical circulars.Backing up fleet manager or other technical superintendents as required.Travel domestically & abroad to attend vessels on a regular basis.
