About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned SDET with 5-10 years of experience to join our growing QA team. You will play a critical role in designing, developing, and executing automated test suites for our Java-based applications. You will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and other testers to ensure the highest quality standards are met throughout the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable automated test frameworks using Java and industry-standard tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, JUnit).
  • Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented test code.
  • Perform manual and exploratory testing to identify potential defects.
  • Collaborate with developers to identify and reproduce bugs.
  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
  • Analyze test results and identify areas for improvement.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in QA methodologies and automation tools.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of the testing process and tools.
  • Mentor and guide junior QA engineers within the team.

Qualifications

  • 5-10 years of experience in Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) role.
  • Strong proficiency in Java programming language and object-oriented design principles.
  • Extensive experience in designing and implementing automated test frameworks for web applications.
  • Solid understanding of software testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, ISTQB) and best practices.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integration with testing tools.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • A passion for quality and a commitment to delivering high-quality software.

Bonus Points

  • Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Rest Assured).
  • Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter).
  • Experience with mobile application testing.
  • Experience with cloud-based testing environments.
  • Experience with security testing methodologies.
