ExxonMobil’s affiliates have offices in India in Bengaluru, Mumbai and the National Capital Region.

ExxonMobil’s affiliates in India supporting the Product Solutions business engage in the marketing, sales and distribution of performance as well as specialty products across chemicals and lubricants businesses. The India planning teams are also embedded with global business units for business planning and analytics.

ExxonMobil’s LNG affiliate in India supporting the upstream business provides consultant services for other ExxonMobil upstream affiliates and conducts LNG market-development activities.

The Global Business Center - Technology Center provides a range of technical and business support services for ExxonMobil’s operations around the globe.

To know more about ExxonMobil in India, visit ExxonMobil India and the Energy Factor India.What role you will play in our teamSupport operations and maintenance activities through the development and execution of centralized engineering services for existing upstream and downstream business units/manufacturing facilities globally.What you will doProvide troubleshooting and reliability improvements for upstream and downstream business units/ manufacturing facilities to maintain safety, availability, and reliability of instrumentation systems while optimizing cost.Develop and execute instrument surveillance programs:Collect data using computer maintenance management system (CMMS) or other available data sources.Analyze maintenance records to determine instrument failure rates, availability / reliability calculations, bad actor / failure modes identification, and program effectiveness / cost analysis.Integrate maintenance and process data into holistic understanding of instrument/process control performance.Utilize risk-based work selection techniques to identify and justify maintenance/improvement items for inclusion in annual and periodic maintenance plans and events.Develop and execute process control surveillance programs.Collect and trend process data using company’s multiple process historian database and visualization software tools.Perform process control philosophy and stability reviews coupled with execution of control logic updates and loop tuning.Conduct criticality assessment and develop equipment strategies/maintenance plans for instrumentations and control systems taking into consideration safety integrity level (SIL) assessment, industry standards, regulatory requirement and manufacturer recommendations.Review, update and develop I&C technical documentation / drawings including piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), cause and effect, and control narratives.Execute control system and safety instrumented system (SIS)/ programmable logic controller (PLC) life cycle management programs which include system inventory, obsolescence plans, managing spare parts and upgrade/replacement planning.Support control system and safety instrumented system (SIS)/ programmable logic controller (PLC) maintenance and test planning as required, software upgrades, emergency shutdown (ESD) testing, offline and online testing, and coordination of activities with/without plant shutdowns.About YouSkills and Qualifications

Bachelor of Science from recognized university in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering (preferably with specialization in instrumentation or electronics, Electronics Engineering, Instrumentation & Control Systems, Chemistry (advanced degree preferred) or equivalent with minimum 6 CGPA or equivalent.Minimum 5 years of broad work experience supporting Online Process Analyzers in oil & gas, refining, or petrochemical industry.Minimum 5 years’ experience in application of instrumentation and controls engineering in oil and gas, Refining or Petrochemical industry for projects or operations.Experience of international projects in multi-national company (MNC), Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise (WOFE) or JV is an advantage.Knowledge in measurement principles and infrastructure elements for a variety of common process analyzersKnowledge and experience in various analytical chemistry techniques (Gas Chromatography, Mass Spectrometry, Infrared & Ultraviolet Spectroscopy) Physical Property Analyzers and Gas DetectorsKnowledge and experience in analyzer communication/transmission protocol and networking consideration for interface to Distributed Control Systems (DCS)Familiarity with field and online analyzer equipment from various vendors such as Siemens, Yokogawa, ABB, Emerson,

etcFamiliarity with Industry standards, Country-specific regulations (CSR), and local codesUnderstands general analyzer maintenance work processes (e.g., planning, scheduling, PMs, performance checks)Understands the impact of equipment sparing, redundancy, reliability, availability, maintainability, and maintenance cost in support of Operations Excellence and Capital efficiencyUnderstands product quality measurement and Quality Assurance System design and requirements.​

Preferred Qualifications/ ExperienceDemonstrated experience in selection, application, and data sheet specification of field hardware including pressure/temperature/ flow/ level instruments, control valves, shutdown valves, etc.Proficient in the specification, selection, application, configuration/programming of Safety Instrument Systems.Working knowledge of complex instrument systems, such as machinery control systems, vibration monitoring systems, custody transfer metering, fired heater burner management, etc.Able to review, evaluate, and update cause and effect, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), logic and architecture diagrams and control narratives.Proficient in data collection and analysis with common database and software data analysis tools such as SAP, Analytics for excel and tableau.Strong verbal and written communication skills in EnglishYour benefitsAn ExxonMobil career is one designed to last.
