The Role:
We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence (BI) Manager to lead our BI team in optimizing the use of data to drive business decisions in both our ecommerce and SaaS environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analysis, reporting, and visualization, as well as a proven track record of implementing and managing BI solutions.
Responsibilities:
Strategy and Planning :
Develop and implement the BI strategy aligned with the business goals and objectives.
Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand data needs and requirements.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of BI analysts and developers.
Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture.
Provide guidance on data modelling, ETL processes, and data visualization techniques.
Data Management:
Oversee the design and maintenance of data models and databases.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and security standards are maintained.
Collaborate with IT teams to optimize data architecture and infrastructure.
Reporting and Analysis:
Develop and maintain dashboards and reports for key business metrics.
Conduct ad-hoc analysis to support business decision-making.
Identify trends, patterns, and insights to inform strategic initiatives.
BI Tools and Technologies:
Stay current with BI tools, technologies, and best practices.
Evaluate and recommend new tools to enhance BI capabilities.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and requirements.
Work closely with IT, marketing, finance, and operations teams to deliver actionable insights.
Training and Development:
Provide training and development opportunities for the BI team.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Business Analysis, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related field
10+ years of experience developing interactive dashboards with at least 4+ years in a leadership role.
Expertise in business intelligence, data modelling, and other technical BI concepts
Experience in software development life cycle (SDLC), project management and technical documentation
Strong understanding of storytelling, UI/UX design and relational data modelling
Proven track record of successfully delivering BI projects on time and within budget.
Advanced technical proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar platforms
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and team members.
Strategic thinking and the ability to align BI initiatives with organizational objectives.
Experience in managing and mentoring a team of BI professionals.
