Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced L2 Network and Security Engineer to manage, secure, and optimize our IT infrastructure. This role requires strong expertise in networking (switching, routing, firewalls) along with practical knowledge of compute environments (servers, virtualization, and basic cloud networking). The ideal candidate will also support barcode scanners, printers, and warehouse/retail devices, ensuring seamless connectivity and operational stability across the organization.

Key Responsibilities: Network & Security

  • Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Layer 2/3 switches (Cisco, Aruba, HP, etc.).
  • Manage and optimize routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP).
  • Deploy and maintain firewalls (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco ASA), including security policies and rule sets.
  • Handle VLANs, STP, port security, link aggregation, and segmentation.
  • Investigate and resolve network incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes.
  • Maintain network documentation (topology diagrams, IP inventory, configuration backups).
  • Collaborate with the security team for compliance and network hardening.

Compute & Virtualization

  • Provide L2 support for Windows/Linux servers impacting network services.
  • Assist with virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
  • Manage and troubleshoot infrastructure services (DNS, DHCP, NTP, AD integration).
  • Support basic cloud networking concepts (AWS VPC, Azure VNets, etc.).
  • Ensure smooth network–compute integration during migrations, patching, and upgrades.

Device & Peripheral Support

  • Configure and support barcode scanners and printers (Zebra, Honeywell, etc.) on wired/wireless networks.
  • Troubleshoot connectivity issues for warehouse/retail devices and networked peripherals.
  • Coordinate with vendors for hardware replacements, escalations, and upgrades.

Key Skills & Qualifications

  • Mandatory: CCNA certification.
  • Preferred: CCNP, Fortinet NSE 4/5, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • Strong expertise in network protocols, routing, and firewall configuration.
  • Exposure to Windows/Linux servers, virtualization platforms, and cloud networking.
  • Experience with barcode scanners, label printers, and warehouse IT devices.
  • Familiarity with ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Jira, etc.).
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹45, ₹50,000.00 per month
