SNResponsibility of / Expectations from the Role1Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and design automation solutions using Ansible and other relevant technologies.2Develop and maintain a strategic plan for centralizing Ansible automation.3Create, test, and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles that automate various tasks, configurations, and deployments.4Maintain and update the centralized inventory of managed hosts and resources.5Implement dynamic inventory solutions when applicable.6Security and Compliance: Implement security best practices for Ansible, including credential and secrets management. Ensure that automation complies with organizational security and compliance policies.7Scripting: Develop and maintain Python and PowerShell scripts to automate various tasks and processes.8API Integration: Work with APIs to facilitate communication between different systems and platforms.9JSON Handling: Proficiently work with JSON data for configuration management and data interchange.10Technology Stack Management: Manage and support automation solutions across a diverse technology stack, including Linux, Windows, VMware Virtual Machines, AWS and good to have GCP and azure.11Source Control: Use GitLab for version control and collaborate with development teams to ensure code integrity.12Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities13Have working knowledge of security methodologies in an enterprise infrastructure
SNRequirement and skills1Bachelor’s degree in engineering / computer science or a related field.25 to 8 years of Proven experience as an Ansible Automation Engineer or similar role.3Strong scripting skills in Python and PowerShell.4Excellent communication skills5Familiarity with API calls and JSON.6Proficiency in working with Linux and Windows environments.7Experience with VMware Virtual Machines is a plus.8Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS9Experience with AWX or Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform is preferred.10Familiarity with GitLab for version control.11Knowledge of Terraform and CloudFormation for infrastructure provisioning.12Experience with integration of automation solutions into ITSM tools13Solid understanding of automation principles and practices Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration14Fair knowledge in networking, including VLANs, F5 VIPs, firewalls, and port15Have working knowledge of security methodologies in an enterprise infrastructure16Have knowledge of intermediate networking management concepts and client troubleshooting17Strong customer-service competencies, oral and written communication, technical documentation, time-management, and project management skills18Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities19Excellent change impact analysis skills for break-fixes, upgrades, and patches20Maintain systems according to established requirements through testing, implementation, and monitoring through the complete lifecycle of the product or solution21Be able to work in a dynamic, highly demanding, and highly visible team while keeping a professional attitude and composure22Be able to speak and relay information intelligently to both highly technical administrators and semi-technical personnel from various state agencies, customers, vendors, and other organizations23Be able to work effectively alone and within a team environment, demonstrating the ability to make progress across multiple complex assignments at once
