As a pioneer and industry leader in audience measurement for more than half a century, we take pride in our technology and processes, and we are constantly searching for new ways to advance our culture of innovation and growth. The Site Reliability Engineer supports developers on the Analytics Platform systems and tools including the underlying AWS cloud infrastructure that is primarily US based but expanding globally. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in a technical field such as computer science coupled with a familiarity with systems and site reliability engineering practices and concepts. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have a desire for continual learning and excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.Responsibilities

Evaluate and develop systems, tools and practices that enhance platform reliability and availabilityManage and monitor all installed systems and cloud infrastructureMonitor and test systems for potential problems and identify solutionsMaintain security compliance for all available systems and backupHelp design informational and operation support systems and toolsSolve technical problems efficientlyIdentify, solve and manage platform and project risksSupport Platform developers by providing technical guidance to investigate issues, identify sustainable, optimized solutionsCommunication with end users to receive/work issues, impact due to outages and/or upgradesWork directly with Software vendors on issue resolution, etcEffectively document, knowledge sharing and assist in building skills for team members and individuals with whom the team supports

Key Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field3-5 years experience using common scripting languages (, Python, JavaScript, Shell)3-5 years experience with AWS services ( AWS Lambda, Eventbridge, EC2, Aurora)3-5 years experience with Windows, Linux operating systems3-5 years experience with SQL and No-SQL technologies, MongoDB3-5 years experience with infrastructure as a service tools, Terraform2-3 years experience with Alteryx Designer and Server platformsWell-organized and able to handle and prioritize multiple assignmentsAble to communicate effectively both orally and in writingAble to work effectively across several different functional areas in a collaborative environmentDesired: experience with visualization and reporting tools, Tableau, Google Sheets, Spotfire, PowerBIPreferred: experience with Jira, Git, Confluence, SmartsheetsPreferred: project management experience
