Key Responsibilities:
Production Management:
- Independently set up and run ERW Tube mills.
- Plan and execute full utilisation of plant and machinery.
- Monitor production KPIs and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
Operations & Maintenance:
- Oversee preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of equipment.
- Ensure availability of spares and tools for uninterrupted operations.
Raw Material & Inventory Control:
- Plan and procure raw materials based on market demand and production schedules.
- Manage inventory to minimise waste and optimise costs.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Train and develop manpower for efficient operations and inventory management.
- Foster a culture of safety, discipline, and accountability.
Quality & Compliance:
- Coordinate with quality teams to ensure adherence to ISO/TS standards.
- Ensure compliance with EHS, OHSAS, and other regulatory norms.
Coordination & Communication:
- Liaise with sales, marketing, and logistics for timely dispatch and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for smooth plant operations.
Project Execution:
- Lead plant shutdowns, upgrades, and new installations.
- Ensure timely and budget-compliant project completion.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Production preferred).
- 15 to 25 years of experience in ERW Tube manufacturing or related industry.
- Proven leadership in managing large-scale manufacturing operations.
- Strong knowledge of ERW, MS, and GI pipe production processes.
