Nursery Teacher

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS * Must bea Graduate;

* Should have minimumtwo years experience as Preschool teacher or A recognized Degree/Diploma in education/ NTT

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS * Anygraduate from a recognized Institute

* NTT or a recognized degree or diploma ineducation is desirable
*Experience of Preschool teaching is desirable
*Must have basic knowledge of play way method ofteaching
* Must be enthusiastic and full ofenergy with humility andintegrity

DESIRED REQUIREMENTS * Goodcommunication is preferred
* Ability tothink creatively and independently and affectionate forchildren
* Must be fair sensitive patientand kind towards children
* Good knowledgeof MSOffice software suite
* Ability tocounsel and teach students
* Flexibilitywith time to work extra hours in case required
*Must be sensitive for health safety andhygiene
* Ability to establish and maintaingood interpersonal relations with parents and children
*Desired personality attributes include accountabilityintegrity honesty commitment enthusiastic passion for teachingpunctuality and selfdiscipline
* Ability towork in a team as teamplayer RESPONSIBILITIES

• Using the best teaching pedagogies like playway methodsskills based approach to learning learning through nature gamessimulations roleplays story telling etc.

• Developing the students to build healthycompetitive spirit cooperation leadership punctuality diligence andteam spirit.

• Developingthe curiosity and interest amongst the children and give them theconfidence to share their ideas and relate their ownexperiences

• Developingconfidence in the children to express their views by analysis andexplanations

• Encouragingstudents to expand their creativity thinking and problem solvingskills

• Promotingexperiential learning and making learning fun

• Learning with the experiments and with thestudents and respond to student reactions and activities

• To be active all the time andobserve and learn from the students at the same time evaluate theprogress of the students

• Identifying the diverse learners accordingly using thecooperative learning styles

• Identifying SEN (students with special educational needs)or very able students

• Discussing and sharing with students to identify theirneeds concerns and feedback

• Playing the role of facilitator observer andguide

• Setting meaningfultasks which ensures high levels of interest amongstudents

• Providing clearstructures for lessons maintaining pace motivation andchallenge

• Ensuringdevelopment of students keeping in mind safety andhygiene

• Making effectiveuse of assessment and ensure coverage of programmes of study as performulated curriculum and ensuring effective teaching and best useof available time

• Maintaining discipline in accordance with the Schoolsprocedures and encouraging good practice with regard to punctualityand behavior standards of work and homework

• Make use of effective questioning listencarefully to students give attention to errors andmisconceptions

• Selectingappropriate learning resources and develop study skills throughlibrary I.C.T. (Information and Communication Technology) and othersources

• Evaluating ownteaching critically to improve effectiveness

• Ensuring the effective and efficient deploymentof classroom support

• Assessing how well learning objectives have been achievedand using them to improve specific aspects of teaching

• Marking and monitor the work of thestudents and set targets for progress

• Assessing and recording the progress of thestudents systematically and keeping records

• Checking that the work is understood andcompleted monitor strengths and weaknesses inform planning andrecognize the level of achievements of students

• Undertaking assessment of studentsas requested by School procedures

• Preparing and presenting informative reports toparents

• Leadingresponsibility for the development aspect of the Schools work anddevelop plans which identify clear targets and success criteria forits development and / or maintenance

• Contributing to the entire departmentalplanning execution and promotion activities.

• To undertake any additional tasks /responsibilities as directed by the Pre/PrimaryCoordinator.
