About the Role:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Infrastructure Engineer to join our team. You will support the design, development, testing, and deployment of our MediaHQ product, helping companies deliver high-quality video content. Our tech stack includes Linux, PHP, MySQL, Redis, and ElasticSearch, with Kubernetes for containerization across cloud environments. You will manage both physical and virtual data centre infrastructure while collaborating with software engineers and systems architects to ensure scalability, security, and performance.


Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.
  • Administer containerization solutions (Kubernetes, Docker) and optimize both on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and observability solutions to ensure system scalability, reliability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with development teams to streamline deployment processes and automate IT operations.
  • Maintain on-premises infrastructure, including VMware virtualization, MySQL databases, and network security.
  • Implement backup and disaster recovery solutions for on-premises infrastructure.


Required Experience:

At least 3 + years proven experience in DevOps practices and methodologies

  • Strong background in Linux/Unix operating systems and administration
  • Expertise in containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Go, PHP, Ruby, or Node.js
  • Experience with infrastructure as code and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
  • Experience managing and deploying reliable systems at scale
  • Solid understanding of networking and systems architecture
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (Bash, Python, or Perl)
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with public and private cloud platforms as well as VMware virtualization
  • Familiarity with Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence)
  • Hands-on experience managing on-premises infrastructure, including VMware, MySQL, and networking equipment
