EHS Associate

Roles &Responsibilities: Provide guidelines on project safetyrequirements (to the relevant person) for incorporation incontractor/ vendor tender documents in order to ensure clarity isprovided to the vendors/ contractors on safety requirements forinclusion in their quotations
Highlight any issues/deviations to the Project Manager/ relevant authority in CPO fordecision making in order to ensure ITC safety requirements areunderstood by the contractorand included in scope ofwork
Prepare guidelines/ checklist related to safetyrequirement for the project
Send guidelines to thecontractor (as required)
Review safety plan prepared bycontractor and highlight changes/ revisions
Prepareschedule content of training programs on EHS; conduct training atsite for ITC staff/ contractors supervisory staff; conductinduction sessions for contractor employees and take signoff postcompletion.
Coordinate to ensure all relevant guidelinesof Corporate EHS are fully met for the vendor supplied andinstalled items in respect of fire and electricalsafety.
Identify appropriate places to display EHSpolicy at the site
Prepare risk assessment & jobsafety analysis for critical activities on project and get signofffrom execution engineer
Collect statutory documents ofthe equipments used/ installed at site by contractors
Implement safety work permit systems at the site
Conductregular EHS inspections of man machines material method of workfirst aid facility etc.
Conduct inspection ofcontractor; monitor emergency planning at the site; check forplacement of warning signs/ caution boards as required
In case of a major incident conduct investigation by includingmembers from the safety committee prepare a report and circulate toall concerned and provide actions/remedial measures for thefuture.
Provide input on safety performance parametersfor each vendor and send to PM for validation and inclusion inoverall performance evaluation
Verify signoff vendorbills and forward to finance for payment in order to ensure timelypayment as per contract terms
Obtain signoff and keeprecord in order to ensure smooth handover of critical safetydevices
Review third party test certificates ofequipments review licenses of the contractor employees (driverselectricians etc.) as per statutory requirement in order to ensureadherence to required statutory compliances
Prepareperiodic safety statistics report safety training report safetyawareness report accident investigation report and send to PM/DM orany other relevant authority
Keep record of all otherreports for future reference in order to ensure accurate and timelyreporting of safety practices andcompliances
