Run what runs the world.This Position reports to:Senior Engineering ManagerIn this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects.The work model for the role is # LI - Hybrid.This position is for “Resident engineer” at customer location in Western India.You will be mainly accountable for:Evaluates, selects, and apply standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments. Handles testing, installation, and commissioning activities. Prepares project documentation within one’s scope of deliverables.Assists in preparing proposals/presentations for engineering projects/programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc.).Supports the Contract Manager in change management (new scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications, etc.).Creates work plans and cost estimates in one’s area of responsibility. Reviews and approves scope, budget, and schedule for assignments and ensures quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost. Improves the effectiveness of work plans in collaboration with other functions.Completes Power Management System-related risk and opportunity assessments and ensures implementation of resulting actions in one’s area of responsibility. Reports any con-tract/quality/program/cost issues to management along with recommendations for resolution.Collaborates with the Supply Chain function to ensure that technical requirements for equipment or services are communicated and agreed on with potential suppliers. Provides technical evaluation of supplier proposals and accepts as fit for purpose supplied equipment or services.Uses standard processes and tools applicable to one’s area of responsibility. Ensures that engineering activities comply with required safety regulations and contractual requirements. Reports process and tool inefficiencies and suggest improvement ideas. Assigns tasks to and coordinates work with entry-level engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.You will join a talented team, where you will be able to thrive.Qualifications for the roleThe candidate must have a minimum of 5 years of overall experience.1–2 years of hands-on experience with 800xA DCS is mandatory.Experience in Power Plant Automation or Substation Automation—covering engineering, installation & commissioning, and service—is required.Familiarity with IEC 61850 or other protection relay communication protocols will be considered an added advantage.We prefer engineering graduates with a background in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics disciplines.
