In the role of Engineer II, you will be reporting directly to the Sr. Manager. This position requires 4 to 7 years of experience working as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE). A key part of this role involves a strong understanding of open source, telemetry, and monitoring tools. Proficiency in Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) tools such as Team Foundation Server (TFS), Azure DevOps (ADO), and Jenkins is essential. This includes the ability to create and troubleshoot new build/release pipelines. Please note that this role may require working in shifts, so flexibility in your schedule is a must.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY

Server Support and Deployment: Manage LINUX systems in an IT environment, including server deployment, monitoring, and support. Cloud Service Management: Oversee and manage operations on cloud platforms like AWS/OCI/GCP. Configuration Management: Utilize ANSIBLE & Ansible Towers for configuration management and automation. System Optimization: Implement clustering technologies, server farming techniques, and load balancing to optimize system performance. Disaster Recovery Management: Develop and execute disaster recovery plans, including backup and restoration technologies, replication strategies, fail-over, and recovery. Automation and Deployment: Use automation technologies for rapid deployment of server builds and software. Monitoring and Telemetry: Implement SRE processes, monitoring, telemetry, CI/CD (AzDevOps), and IAC tools like Terraform. Software Configuration: Install and configure software applications like Apache, Samba, FTP, NFS, LDAP. Project Management: Lead and manage technical projects. Overtime Management: Be prepared to work overtime when necessary to meet project deadlines and maintain system stability.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

Excellent troubleshooting skills and ability to learn new technologies and adapt to it.  Provide Governance & oversight to guide implementation towards solution delivery.  Guide & mentor, the team to successfully deliver the projects.  Excellent communication & collaboration skills.  SME in build & release, automations, CAAS & various other technical capabilities. Develop to execute automated builds & releases, benchmark the industry standards & processes to ensure efficient and quality delivery and deployments.  Contribute to and review deployment plans; schedule the installation of new modules, upgrades, and fixes to the production environment.  Leading analytical & design activities with approved/validated technologies in par with the organization standards and vested approaches and methods.  Aligns IT security and IT operations teams to ensure that all processes, including DevOps processes, can operate safely and securely. Knowledgeable of clustering technologies, server farming techniques, load balancing, F5 Big IP or other hardware load balancing. Experience with Disaster Recovery techniques including backup and restoration technologies, replication strategies, fail-over and recovery.
