Role Purpose :

As a Cloud Engineer Lead, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of cloud infrastructure and applications. Your focus will be on virtualization and containerization of network functions for carrier networks, network function orchestration systems, and the adoption of cloud-native technologies.

Key Responsibilities :

Virtualization and Containerization :

- Lead the virtualization and containerization of network functions for carrier networks.

- Implement and manage containerized environments using Kubernetes and other container orchestration tools.

- Optimize and maintain virtualized infrastructure to ensure high availability and performance.

Network Function Orchestration :

- Design and deploy network function orchestration systems to automate and streamline network operations.

- Ensure seamless integration of orchestration systems with existing network infrastructure.

Cloud-Native Technologies :

- Utilize cloud-native technologies to design and develop scalable and resilient applications.

- Oversee the deployment and management of cloud-native applications in production environments.

Microservices Design and Development :

- Design and develop applications adhering to Microservices paradigms.

- Ensure that microservices are developed using best practices and are optimized for performance and scalability.

Leadership and Team Management :

- Lead a team of cloud engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.

- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align cloud strategies with business objectives.

Continuous Improvement :

- Continuously evaluate and improve cloud infrastructure and application development processes.

- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in cloud technologies and integrate them into the architecture.

Requirements :

Technical Skills :

- Extensive experience with virtualization and containerization technologies, particularly in carrier networks.

- Proficiency in Kubernetes and other container orchestration tools.

- Strong understanding of cloud-native technologies and microservices architecture.

- Experience with network function orchestration systems.

Experience :

- Proven experience in leading cloud engineering projects and teams.

- Demonstrated success in designing and implementing cloud infrastructure solutions.

Leadership Skills :

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.

- Proven ability to mentor and guide technical teams.

Soft Skills :

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Strong communication and collaboration skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Educational Background :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Relevant certifications in cloud technologies (i.e., AWS, Azure, GCP) are a plus.

Preferred Experience :

- Experience with additional cloud platforms and services.

- Knowledge of network functions virtualization (NFV) and software-defined networking (SDN)
