We are seeking a highly skilled Azure Databricks Tech Project Manager to manage our data engineering initiatives and drive the development of scalable and efficient data solutions on Azure Lead a team of data engineers in designing, developing, and deploying data solutions using Azure Databricks and Azure Synapse Analytics.
What you can expect from the job:
Architect end-to-end data pipelines to support data ingestion, processing, storage, and analytics requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
Provide technical leadership and guidance in implementing best practices for data engineering, performance optimization, and data governance.
Design and implement data integration strategies leveraging Azure services such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Blob Storage, and Azure SQL Database.
Develop and maintain documentation for data architecture, data flows, and data governance policies.
Mentor team members, conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Stay updated with the latest Azure data technologies and trends, and evaluate new tools and frameworks to enhance data Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
What will help you do the job well:
12+ years experience in IT industry with 6 to 8 years of experience in data engineering and development, with a focus on Azure cloud technologies.
Extensive hands-on experience with Azure Databricks, Apache Spark, and PySpark.
Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with Azure Synapse Analytics (formerly SQL Data Warehouse).
Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and ETL/ELT processes.
Experience leading technical teams, driving project delivery, and mentoring junior developers.
Deep understanding of Azure cloud services such as Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure SQL Data Warehouse.
Knowledge of data security, encryption, and compliance standards in Azure.
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to architect scalable and resilient data solutions.
Strong communication skills and ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Experience leading cross-functional teams to complete projects with multiple dependencies and constraints
Experience defining projects, identifying risks, managing cost, coordinating scope, identifying dependencies, scheduling and deploying new products and features
Experience creating and cascading processes through an organization
Knowledge of SQL and experience using Jira.
We would love it if you have:
Azure certifications such as Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
Experience with other Azure services such as Azure DevOps, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), or Azure Functions.
Knowledge of data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Apache Superset.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
Experience working in regulated industries such as healthcare, finance, or government.
