Job Description:
GITAM(Deemed to be University) is looking for faculty positions in the Department of Mechanical Engineering with specializations in Robotics and Biomedical Engineering
Roles and Responsibilities:
Biomedical Engineering
Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate-level courses in biomedical engineering, including core subjects (e.g., biomechanics, biomaterials, medical imaging, biosensors) and specialized topics in the candidate’s area of expertise.
Advise and mentor undergraduate and graduate students on academic and professional development, including research and career pathways.
Supervise student projects, research, and theses at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Continuously assess and improve curriculum, teaching methods, and learning outcomes.
Robotics
Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in robotics engineering, including core subjects and specialized topics (e.g., autonomous systems, robot design and control, artificial intelligence in robotics).
Mentor and advise students in both undergraduate and graduate programs.
Supervise and evaluate students' academic progress, projects, and research.
Research :
Establish and maintain a productive, externally funded research program in robotics engineering.
Conduct high-quality research in robotics and related fields such as automation, machine learning, sensor systems, or human-robot interaction.
Publish research findings in peer-reviewed journals, conferences, and other scholarly outlets.
Collaborate with faculty across disciplines, industry partners, and research institutions.
Advising & Mentoring :
Advise undergraduate and graduate students on academic and career goals.
Provide guidance and mentorship for student projects, research, and internships.
Education and Experience:
Ph.D. from renewed University
At least 2 and above years of teaching experience
