Job Location: Trichy, Tamilnadu
Job Summary:
The Business Development Officer will identify, pursue, and manage opportunities to expand the organization’s footprint in the education sector. This role involves building partnerships with educational institutions, government agencies, and other stakeholders while promoting the organization's educational programs, products, or services to achieve growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Develop and implement business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets in the education sector.
Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify opportunities.
Partnership Development:
Establish and nurture relationships with schools, universities, training centers, and other stakeholders.
Collaborate with government bodies, non-profits, and corporations for grants, sponsorships, and funding opportunities.
Sales and Revenue Generation:
Promote educational programs, courses, or edtech solutions to potential clients.
Achieve sales targets by onboarding institutional and individual customers.
Proposal and Contract Management:
Prepare business proposals, presentations, and contracts tailored to client requirements.
Negotiate terms to secure partnerships or sales deals.
Program Development:
Collaborate with academic teams to align offerings with market needs.
Contribute to the development of new programs or products based on feedback and research.
Market Research:
Conduct market analysis to identify gaps and opportunities in the education sector.
Stay updated on government policies, industry standards, and emerging technologies in education.
Team Collaboration:
Work closely with marketing, product development, and operations teams to deliver seamless services.
Train and support internal teams in understanding market dynamics and product offerings.
Reporting and Analytics:
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of business development efforts.
Provide regular reports on progress, forecasts, and achievements to senior management.
Qualifications:
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Education Management, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
Certifications in Sales, Marketing, or Educational Leadership are a plus.
Experience:
2–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships in the education or edtech sector.
Familiarity with educational institutions, curriculums, and technologies.
Skills:
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Analytical mindset and proficiency in market research.
Ability to develop and maintain long-term professional relationships.
Knowledge of CRM software and sales tools.
