Sportz Interactive is dedicated to leveraging cloud technologies for improved efficiency, scalability, and security. We are looking for a talented and experienced DevOps Lead to join our team and play a pivotal role in transforming our cloud infrastructure and DevOps practices.

As a DevOps Lead at Sportz Interactive, you will be responsible for driving our cloud operations, DevOps best practices, and optimizing our cloud infrastructure across multiple accounts. Your expertise will help us enhance security, scalability, cost-efficiency, and overall operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage cloud accounts, enforce policies, and centralize administration using tools for consistency and efficiency.
  • Conduct security audits, identify gaps, and collaborate with teams to implement effective security measures.
  • Advise on scalable, cost-effective cloud architecture, ensuring alignment with best practices. Support development teams with implementation and troubleshooting.
  • Manage daily operations, including infrastructure setup, user management, and monitoring. Ensure system stability during high-traffic events and address any issues promptly.
  • Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines, govern source control and build tools, and oversee deployment strategies for efficient software delivery.
  • Develop and maintain backup and DR strategies, automating processes to secure data and ensure continuity.
  • Optimize cloud costs, monitor usage, and generate reports to manage expenditures. Implement tools to prevent cost overages.
  • Lead the DevOps team, fostering skill growth and scaling the team as needed. Set objectives and performance metrics to drive growth.
  • Lead incident response, conduct root cause analysis and refine response protocols to minimize disruptions and prevent a recurrence.
  • Support RFPs related to cloud security and DevOps, showcasing the organization's capabilities and solutions to clients.

Background And Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in DevOps roles, demonstrating the ability to lead and implement DevOps transformations.
  • Extensive experience managing AWS cloud services and infrastructure, knowledge of governance tools like AWS Control Tower and AWS Organizations.
  • Strong expertise in security best practices, audits, and governance, with a track record of implementing security measures and remediation strategies.
  • In-depth knowledge of CI/CD tools and experience building efficient, scalable pipelines.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, solve complex problems, and make strategic decisions in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
