Job Description – Senior Automotive Interior Design Manager Hiring for:Client Location:Dharwad Experience:15–20 Years Domain:Automotive Interior Module Design Software:CATIA V5Role Overview We are seeking highly experiencedSenior Automotive Design Engineersspecializing inAutomotive Interior Module Design . The ideal candidate must have extensive experience working with CATIA V5, strong engineering fundamentals, and hands-on expertise in interior trims, modeling, detailing, and regulatory compliance.Mandatory Skills 15–20 years of Automotive Interior Design experience. Strong hands-on experience inCATIA V5 . Deep expertise inInterior Modules & Trim components . Strong understanding ofGD&T and DFMEA . Knowledge ofplastic design ,tooling principles , anddraft analysis . Experience using3DX PLM & Enovia .Key Responsibilities Design & Development Design and developAutomotive Interior & Trim Componentssuch as: Crash Pad, Connection Duct, Glove Box, Driver Panel, Instrument Panel, Side Covers, Cluster Fascia, Shrouds. Create3D parametric models, surfaces, and drawingsin CATIA V5 with complete GD&T. Conductconcept design, B-Side development , and incorporatemanufacturing tool requirements . Ensure models meettangency, gap , and client craftsmanship standards. Engineering & Technical Expertise Strong working knowledge ofGD&T ,DFMEA ,DFM/DFA/DFS ,DVP , andtolerance stack-up . Understanding ofECE, EEC, FMVSS, ADRregulatory standards. Basic knowledge ofplastic molding ,tooling direction ,draft analysis , sliders/lifters. Performpart feasibility , draft checks, parting surface creation, and solid body closure. Benchmarking of vehicles forfeatures, weight , andcost optimization . Collaboration & Execution Work closely with global engineering, design, and tooling teams. Provide alternative design solutions aligned with design intent and engineering constraints.
