Role: DevSecOps Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Pulumi or Terraform.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with development teams to design and implement scalable and reliable application architectures.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, deployments, and production systems.
- Implement and maintain security measures to protect systems and data.
- Monitor security events and alerts, investigate potential security incidents, and respond to security breaches in a timely manner.
- Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and vulnerability scans to identify and remediate security vulnerabilities.
- Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery processes.
- Familiar with agile methodologies and projects.
- Research, document, note trade-offs and recommend potential solutions around product features. Assume responsibility for your work and lead it to completion.
- Manage individual priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
- Design and implementation of database solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest DevOps trends, tools, and best practices.
Experience and Skills:
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a DevOps or similar role.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Good hands-on experience with major AWS services like EC2, Document DB, RDS, VPC, ALB, EKS, S3 and general understanding of networking.
- Experience with monitoring solutions such as Cloud Watch, Prometheus, Loki and Grafana.
- Extensive and proven experience in IAC tools like Pulumi and terraform.
- Proficiency in Docker for containerization and Kubernetes (k8s) for container orchestration.
- Familiar with container deployments in Kubernetes environments using tools such as ArgoCD or Flux.
- Strong experience with GitHub Actions and familiarity with CI/CD processes.
- Understanding of DevOps for Service-Oriented and Microservice Architectures.
- Knowledge of security tools and practices, including vulnerability scanning, threat modeling, and encryption techniques.
- Ability to multi-task under time-sensitive environments and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and analytical skill.
