We are looking for a passionate and experienced
Ruby on Rails Developer
with a minimum of 4 - 6 years of hands-on experience to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate should have a
strong command of ActiveRecord
,
PostgreSQL
, and
object-oriented programming (OOP)
concepts. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining efficient, reusable, and reliable Ruby code.

A working knowledge of
React
and
Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
is a significant advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable web applications using Ruby on Rails.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices (TDD, code reviews, continuous integration, etc.).
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
  • Ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications.
  • Debug and troubleshoot production issues.
  • Collaborate in an agile team environment, contributing to sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Take ownership of your deliverables and ensure timely completion.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in
    Ruby on Rails
    development.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with
    ActiveRecord
    .
  • Solid experience working with
    PostgreSQL
    (data modeling, indexing, query optimization).
  • Excellent grasp of
    OOP principles
    and
    design patterns
    .
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven experience in writing clean, well-tested, and maintainable code.
  • Ability to work both independently and as a part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and a proactive approach to work.

Preferred/Bonus Skills:

  • Experience or working knowledge of
    or other front-end frameworks.
  • Familiarity with
    GCP (Google Cloud Platform)
    and cloud-native application development.
  • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with background job processing (e.g., Sidekiq) and real-time features (e.g., ActionCable).
