Job Summary:

The Pune Institute of Business Management is inviting applications for the position of Assistant Professor in General Management and Strategic Management. We are looking for an individual with a robust academic background, a proven track record in research, and a commitment to excellence in teaching. The ideal candidate will be passionate about contributing to both academic and practical dimensions of management.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Teaching:
  • Develop and teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in General Management and Strategic Management.
  • Prepare comprehensive and engaging course materials, including lectures, assignments, and assessments.
  • Incorporate contemporary management practices and theories into the curriculum.
  • Mentor and guide students on academic projects, research, and career development.
  1. Research:
  • Conduct high-impact research in General Management and Strategic Management, aiming for publication in leading academic journals and conferences.
  • Seek research funding opportunities and collaborate with industry partners to advance knowledge in these fields.
  • Present research findings at academic and professional conferences.
  1. Academic Service:
  • Contribute to the development and enhancement of the management curriculum.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and institutional initiatives.
  • Engage in student advising and academic counseling.
  1. Community Engagement:
  • Build and maintain relationships with industry professionals and academic peers.
  • Organize and participate in workshops, seminars, and conferences to promote the institute’s academic programs and research.
  • Represent the institute in external academic and professional forums.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
  • Ph.D. or equivalent in Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Relevant post-doctoral research or professional experience is advantageous.
  • Experience:
  • Demonstrated research expertise and a strong publication record in General Management, Strategic Management, or related areas.
  • Previous teaching experience at the undergraduate or postgraduate level is preferred.
  • Proven ability to engage and inspire students and colleagues.
  • Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of management theories, strategic planning, and organizational behavior.
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
