We enable your best to power our future.  ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a detail-oriented, highly analytical FP&A Senior Analyst to join our finance team. The FP&A Senior Analyst will primarily assist with financial forecasting, budgeting, modelling, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate should have strong financial modelling skills, data analytics skills, and excellent communication abilities.A successful Senior FP&A Analyst should be detail-oriented, and have a strong analytical mindset with the ability to identify and strengthen areas of business risks. They should help develop and maintain the right reporting models (completeness and accuracy) and adapt to business needs/strategic and growth mindset. This requires a lot of diligence and an attitude to take on new tasks while being solution-oriented.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

Independently managing day-to-day reporting around business unit financials leveraging SAP and Analytic tools such as SAC, PowerBi, etc Drive mission-critical financial reporting and analytics (planning, forecasting, budgeting, monthly & quarterly variance analysis, etc.) for a large company Ensure standard reports are produced & available as per stipulated timelines across all the verticals/business units. Ensure accuracy and completeness at all times Closely track variances from operating plans and forecasts; proactively identify possible remediation measures by working closely with the business partners Drive build-out of advanced analytics for respective areas along with measurement of key KPI metrics(revenue/expense / capex and cash) such as churn metrics, adherence to pricing and discounting guidelines, revenue/EBITDA walks, etc Single point contact and partner with business teams on delivering analytics through dashboards, data, and insights to drive key business decisions and support negotiations Support the FP&A organization through end-to-end finance transformation – drive standardization and automation of reporting across the organization

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance required with certifications in data modeling and analytics preferred Candidate should either be a Chartered Accountant (first attempt / ranker and Big 4 articleship preferred) or an MBA Finance from a top tier business school (IIM, XLRI, SPJIMS, FMS, NMIMS) Prior Finance (4-7 years minimum) FP&A/ management reporting experience across revenue, expense, cash or capex  Experience with analytics tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, Google Data Studio, and spreadsheet tools (excel, Google Sheets) is required Sound fundamentals on financial knowledge, analytical/data modeling ability, and sound understanding of the media ecosystem including some understanding of Nielsen’s products and services Strong work ethic, self-motivated work style, attention to detail, effective communicator Ability to organize multiple responsibilities and deliver results in an accurate and timely manner while adapting to changes in priorities Ability to influence and strategically partner with individuals of various educational and technical backgrounds, both inside and outside the organization Strong business acumen and analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to gather, analyze, and present data Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and follow-up skills ABOUT THE ROLE As the arbiter of truth, Nielsen Global Media fuels the media industry with unbiased, reliable data about what people watch and listen to.
