A Sr Staff SRE Operations Engineer would be highly proficient in Operational technology as well as with most other technologies in SRE. Principal SRE Ops Engineer is focused on architecting solutions directly related to reliability, pipelines, and efficiency of the team, working very closely and effectively with other SRE teams, and being able to effectively communicate data with precision. They will lead and develop SRE Operations team processes, documentation, and technology.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities

In order of significance, list the essential functions and responsibilities of the position.

● Develop and maintain pipelines, solutions, and key processes for SRE Operations

● Driving key company initiatives using data, technology, and skill

● Participate in high level architectural discussions

● Continuously develop team skills and technological proficiency and provides technical subject matter expertise

● Effectively drive cross team/department projects to completion

● Develops and maintains knowledge management articles

● Participates in Level 3 On-call support


Required

● 12+ years experience architecting and developing reliability based solutions, automation, tooling, and/or pipelines in a scripting language (Powershell preferred)

● 4+ years of experience with the following technologies Windows Server Administration, PowerShell, IIS, Amazon Web Services / Azure / GCP

● 2+ years experience developing solutions for containerized solutions such as Kubernetes, AWS ECS, or similar

● 2+ years experience developing with the following technologies; Database (SQL/Postgres Preferred), Networking, IaC tooling (Terraform preferred), Linux, .NET core

● Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience

● Excellent mentorship and leadership skills

● Ability to work independently or as part of a team

● High level of analytical and critical thinking skills

● Ability to participate in on-call rotation
