We are looking for Android TV Engineer/ Senior Engineer (2 to 6 years of relevant experience), to join Runn TV. The ideal candidate will be a passionate and experienced Android TV Developer who will help build and deliver supreme CTV user experience for Runn TV apps on Android TV ecosystem.Location : Noida (Work-from-Office)Minimum 2 years in Android TV OTT app development is a MUST. Candidates with Android Mobile only experience will not be considered for this role.Key Responsibilities1. Develop & OptimizeBuild and maintain high-performing Android TV applications aligned with the product roadmap and UX/UI guidelines.Ensure seamless user experience by optimizing app performance across different devices and resolutions.2. Collaborate & InnovateWork closely with the product, design, and backend teams to brainstorm, analyze, and implement new features.Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve overall application quality.3. Performance & Quality AssuranceEnsure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.Debug and fix issues, perform unit and UI tests to ensure robustness.4. Compatibility & ComplianceEnsure application compatibility with a wide range of devices across the Android TV ecosystem.Stay informed about Google Play Store guidelines and ensure compliance for app submissions.5. Continuous ImprovementResearch and implement best practices in Android TV development.Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in the Android TV and OTT space.Required Skills & QualificationsHands-on experience with Android TV Leanback Library and UI development for Android TV.Deep understanding of Android architecture and design patterns.Experience with media streaming protocols (HLS, DASH) and DRM integration.Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs and JSON for seamless backend integration.Familiarity with Exo Player and custom player implementations.Proficiency in Google Play Store submission and approval process.Experience with OTT/CTV apps and multi-device testing.Exposure to Agile methodologies and CI/CD pipelines.About Runn TVRunn TV is India's first independent and fastest growing FAST (Free Ad-Supported Streaming Television) channels based content streaming platform targeting Indian audiences with 24x7 thematic and highly curated channels.
