Key Responsibilities:

  1. Teaching & Academics

  2. Teach undergraduates in ophthalmology theory and clinical skills.

  3. Contribute to curriculum development and academic scheduling.

  4. Assist in evaluation, assessments, and OSCEs.

  5. Clinical Practice

  6. Conduct outpatient consultations and perform routine and complex surgeries.

  7. Ensure high standards of patient care and clinical protocols
  8. Supervise residents and interns in clinical care.

  9. Participate in hospital rounds and clinical audits.

  10. Research

  11. Initiate or support departmental research projects.

  12. Publish scholarly articles in national/international journals.

  13. Guide residents in thesis and projects.

  14. Administrative Tasks

  15. Assist in organizing CMEs, workshops, and conferences.

  16. Maintain academic records and ensure compliance with medical council standards.

Qualifications:

  • MBBS with MS/MD/DNB in Ophthalmology.
  • Minimum 5 -10 years teaching and clinical experience (5 years as Associate Professor for Professor).
  • At least 2-5 publications in indexed journals (as per NMC/MCI norms).
