About Giant Eagle Bangalore

The Giant Eagle GCC in Bangalore is our global capability center. Our team of more than 350 members at the GCC enables us to expand internal capabilities in the areas such as data analytics, merchandising and eCommerce, quality engineering, and automation to generate insights for faster decision-making and help us accelerate our business strategy. Our team in India plays a pivotal role in helping the company transition to new ways of working by redefining the food and grocery shopping experience for over 4.6 million customers.


Responsibilities:


  • Create high-quality and enjoyable user experiences by building interfaces that are simple, intuitive, performant, and reliable.
  • Have autonomy to build, test, and ship user-facing features in modern tools like Jetpack Compose, GraphQL, and Apollo.
  • Identify and plan initiatives to enhance our systems, codebases, and team dynamics and maintain/improve code quality.
  • Build and maintain reusable code (components, tools, utils) and libraries for future use.
  • Help guide our front-end stack by selecting the right tools and libraries for the job.
  • Assist in documenting, debugging, evaluating, and unit-testing projects.
  • Mentor and pair-program with junior software engineers and other teams.



Requirements:


  • You have 3+ years of experience in Android development and Kotlin.
  • Experience working with any of the following are a great plus: Jetpack Compose,
  • RxKotlin, JUnit, Fastlane, GraphQL and Apollo.
  • You have experience working collaboratively with product managers and designers.
  • You are an excellent communicator that can explain the technical subject matter to a
  • non-technical audience in an understandable and impactful manner.
  • You have meticulous attention to detail.
