Merchandiser - Fashion / Apparel

A leading client of CareerBricks is recruiting Merchandisers to assist in planning and managing the product mix across channels. You will support buying and inventory decisions by analysing sales trends, monitoring stock levels, and coordinating with suppliers and stores to ensure optimal SKU availability. The role is analytical and operational: you’ll work closely with design, buying, supply chain, and store teams to translate business goals into merchandise actions. Key responsibilities include preparing weekly/monthly sales and stock reports, recommending reorder quantities, assisting in assortment planning for upcoming seasons, tracking aging SKUs, and supporting price and promotion decisions. You’ll also liaise with vendors to expedite deliveries, monitor quality issues, and ensure timely replenishment. Strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and ability to work with large datasets are critical. This position suits organised individuals who enjoy the intersection of data and fashion - translating market trends into commercially viable assortments. Exposure to retail ERP systems and experience with seasonal cycle planning will be advantageous. Requirements Graduate in Fashion/Business/Statistics preferred 1-4 years in merchandising or inventory planning for apparel/retail Advanced MS Excel skills; exposure to merchandising/ERP tools Analytical mindset and clear communication Benefits Exposure to end-to-end merchandising operations Learning from cross-functional teams (design, buying, supply chain) Negotiable salary + performance incentives Opportunity to grow into Senior Merchandiser / Buying roles
