The incumbent will be leading a large team of Admissions Advising and be responsible for evaluating, coordinating, and delivering high quality service for our applicants while meeting the institution’s enrollment goals.As an AD, you will play a critical role in ensuring the Admissions Advising department meets its goals and KPIs, delivers outstanding service to every University of the People applicant, and works cross-functionally with other teams to improve and enhance our admissions process. This is a strategic leadership role that requires a strong service-oriented mindset, exceptional project and people managing skills, and a deep understanding of technology.The AD is a part of the India Operations team, as well as the University Enrollment team, leading a team of over 30 employees today. The Admissions Advising team is likely to grow to a much larger team in a few years.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:Leading the department to reach admissions goals through processes, technology, and customer service.Own and oversee end-to-end performance of the Admissions Advising department, including service quality, goals achievement, process improvement, and technology enhancement.Develop, measure, analyze and continually improve the department’s performanceContinually improve applicants’ experience throughout all channels of communicationIdentify creative solutions to challenges as they ariseEnsure that staff is aligned with university policies and code of behavior.Create a culture of high-performance and continuous learning and improvement within the department.Manage new projects end-to-end relating to Admissions Advising and ensure that they are completed on timePerforms other related duties as assigned.

KEY COMPETENCIESA minimum of 7 years’ experience in a service/ contact center managerial roleProven experience with service/ contact center metrics and reporting.Ability to derive actionable insights from data.Deep knowledge of large-scale project managementExperience in team developmentTech-savvy – comfortable working in an online environmentSelf-discipline – ability to work remotely as part of an international teamExceptional listening and analytical skills.Ability to effectively manage conflictMultitasking skills and detail-oriented focus required for a fast-paced environment.Have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills.Should have managed large admissions team for a University/ Education/ Ed-tech organization

QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum education required: Bachelor’s degreeFluent English LevelWorking knowledge of industry trends and metricsExperience in a Global online Edtech startup is a big advantageExperience with contact center management.
