Job Title: Power BI Lead Developer Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Power BI Lead Developer to join our Data Analytics team. The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced Power BI solutions to deliver actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making. This role requires deep expertise in Microsoft Power BI, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business intelligence initiatives. Key Responsibilities • Lead the design, development, and deployment of complex Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to meet business requirements. • Architect and optimize data models using Power BI Desktop, DAX (Data Analysis Expressions), and Power Query. • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data analysts, and IT teams to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications. • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security in Power BI solutions, implementing best practices for data governance and compliance. • Oversee integration of Power BI with various data sources, including SQL databases, cloud platforms (, Azure, Snowflake), and other enterprise systems. • Optimize Power BI performance through efficient DAX queries, data modeling, and report design. • Mentor and guide junior Power BI developers, providing technical expertise and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. • Manage Power BI service administration tasks, including workspace management, security roles, and deployment pipelines. • Stay current with Power BI updates, features, and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions and enhancements. • Document technical processes, data models, and report specifications for maintainability and knowledge sharing. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience. • 10+ years of experience in business intelligence development, with at least 3 years focused on Microsoft Power BI. • Advanced proficiency in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, DAX, and Power Query. • Strong expertise in SQL and experience with relational and cloud-based databases (, SQL Server, Azure SQL, Snowflake). • Proven experience leading BI projects and mentoring team members. • Deep understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes. • Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services (, Azure Data Factory, Synapse Analytics) is a plus. • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • Microsoft Power BI certifications (, Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate) are highly desirable. Preferred Skills • Experience with other BI tools (, Tableau, Qlik) or programming languages (, Python, R) for data analysis. • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and DevOps practices for BI development. • Familiarity with advanced analytics, machine learning integration, or real-time data streaming in Power BI.
