We are currently looking for a Sr. QA Lead to perform requirements and testing of State Street core data products. As part of the team, the Sr. QA Lead will act as an essential link in the project development life cycle and will work closely with the Project Manager, QA Manager, developers, Business Analysts and other project team members. We employ 200+ of the top developers and QA professionals in the industry so this is an opportunity to work with a very senior team in a fast-paced environment. The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years working in Middle Office business line. Middle Office functional Knowledge includes: Record Keeping System, GG (Golden Gate), Derivates Systems, Performance Data systems, Security Analytics, Asset Control, Information Delivery (reporting).

What you will be responsible for:

Lead and manage a team of QA engineers, providing technical guidance, mentoring and performance feedback. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the team. Manages scheduling to ensure efficient and effective product testing; identifies and reports risks to project schedule and product quality and proposes new methods to control and/or mitigate risks. Participate in business requirements and functional specifications reviews early in the software development life cycle process. Execute software testing to include functional testing, system testing, regression testing, and performance testing. Apply expertise in Java, Selenium, Performance Testing tools, or other test frameworks to design, develop and maintain test suites. Being hands-on and owning functional deliveries Responsible for managing comprehensive testing phases from planning to execution for functional and non-functional requirements including design, development, and delivery. Collaborate with peers, product managers, developers, and other stakeholders to understand client requirements, provide input on design and ensure high quality deliverables. Record and maintain automated test script libraries for functional regression testing for assigned applications. Document software defects in an issue tracking system and proactively communicate issues with developers and other project team members. Generate effective status and progress reports to the QA Manager and project team members. Provide testing leadership for the projects in which he or she is assigned to. Analyze and report on QA metrics, trends, and opportunities for improvement, presenting findings to senior management and recommending corrective actions. Advocate a culture of quality within the organization, driving awareness and adherence to Quality standards. Conduct reviews of applications and workflow processes to target automation effectiveness.

Experience required in:

Experience in senior QA role within the financial services industry, ideally in asset management or a related field. Deep understanding of investment management processes, risk management methodologies, regulatory compliance requirements or Investment Accounting skills. Hands on coding experience in Java Strong knowledge of test automation frameworks, tools, and scripting languages along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address complex issues. Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing QA programs that drive continuous improvement. Deep understanding of software quality assurance and engineering processes, methodologies, and best practices. Solid understanding of Agile software development methodologies. Ability to translate from business requirements to technical testing solutions. Experience with full cycle testing including functional testing, system testing, integration testing, performance and stress testing. Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across diverse teams. Strong foundation in RDBMS, SQL and application infrastructure technologies, performance testing tools & methodologies Self-motivator, that looks for challenges and rolls up their sleeves to identify and understand the core issues and works closely with all levels and across teams to implement solutions. Experience of working in Agile Development Team Good knowledge and experience working with CI/CD pipeline. Experience working in public Cloud environments like Azure/AWS/Snowflake. Experience with Cucumber Framework, Test NG, API testing. Cloud based testing. API testing

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

10 years + experience in software testing in a process driven technology environment. Recent experience must include hands-on testing. Financial software testing experience Solid SQL /Database skills ARE REQUIRED, SQL Server , Snowflake , and/or Oracle preferred Experience with Data Warehouse/Data Marts IS REQUIRED Strong ETL experience desirable Experience in knowledge of industry standard best practices as related to software testing. Experience in all phases of software application design, development and testing. Experience in creating test cases, scripts, use of automated test tools, testing client/server applications. Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent in Computer Science or related experience. Minimum 10 years of test automation experience with strong Java/Python & SQL skills. Working well with onshore and offshore team members in Agile environment. Good knowledge and experience working with CI/CD pipeline. CFA certification at any level will be an added advantage. Experience working in public Cloud environments like Azure/AWS/Snowflake. Experience with Cucumber Framework, Test NG, API testing.
