Associate Professor of Management

The Associate Professor of Management will play a pivotal role in driving academic excellence, advancing research, and fostering partnerships with the university community.

Key Responsibilities: Teaching & Curriculum Development
  • Design, develop, and deliver courses in management, including organizational behavior, strategic management, leadership, entrepreneurship, and operations management.
  • Employ innovative pedagogical approaches to enhance student learning, leveraging technology to facilitate engagement and understanding.
  • Supervise student research projects, dissertations, and capstone projects, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure high-quality outcomes.
  • Engage in continuous improvement of curriculum to align with industry trends and accreditation standards, ensuring relevance and effectiveness.
Research & Scholarly Activity
  • Conduct rigorous research in management, publishing findings in peer-reviewed journals of high impact, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field.
  • Secure research grants from national and international funding agencies, applying for opportunities that align with the university's research priorities.
  • Collaborate with faculty members on interdisciplinary research initiatives, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.
  • Present research findings at international conferences, sharing insights and best practices with peers and stakeholders, and contribute to thought leadership in the discipline.
Academic & Administrative Service
  • Serve on university and departmental committees, contributing to strategic planning, academic governance, and decision-making processes.
  • Participate in student recruitment, advisement, and retention initiatives, working closely with students to support their academic and professional development.
  • Engage in industry partnerships, facilitating internships, collaborative research, and guest lectures, enhancing academic-industry collaboration and promoting mutual benefits.
  • Support accreditation processes and continuous improvement initiatives within the department, ensuring compliance and excellence in academic programs.
Professional & Community Engagement
  • Establish connections with industry, government agencies, and professional bodies, promoting academic-industry collaboration and fostering a culture of engagement and partnership.
  • Engage in executive education programs, consulting projects, and professional development workshops, staying current with industry trends and best practices.
  • Contribute to community service initiatives, aligning with the university's outreach programs and promoting social responsibility and civic engagement.
Qualifications & Experience
  • A Ph.D. in Management, Business Administration, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • A strong record of research publications in Scopus-indexed, ABDC, or high-impact journals, demonstrating expertise and contribution to the field.
  • Demonstrated excellence in teaching at the university level, with at least 5 years of academic experience, showcasing pedagogical skills and subject matter expertise.
  • Experience in supervising Ph.D. and master's students, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure successful completion of research projects.
  • Industry experience or collaborations with corporate partners will be an added advantage, demonstrating practical application of theoretical knowledge and expertise.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, essential for effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
