Job Summary:
The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that all products meet the companys quality standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves managing quality assurance processes, implementing quality control measures, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the production line. The Quality Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that products meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and consistency, playing a critical role in maintaining the brand’s reputation within the FMCG sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and Implement Quality Standards:  Establish, maintain, and improve quality standards, procedures, and guidelines in line with industry regulations and company policies.
Quality Assurance Management:  Oversee all quality assurance activities, including inspections, audits, and testing of finished goods.
Team Leadership:  Lead and manage the quality control team, provide training, guidance, and support to ensure a high level of performance.
Process Optimization:  Identify areas for improvement in production processes and collaborate with 3P production teams to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
Compliance:  Ensure compliance with industry standards, government regulations, and internal policies, including food safety, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points).
Supplier Quality Management:  Collaborate with suppliers to ensure raw materials meet quality specifications and address any quality issues promptly.
Continuous Improvement:  Drive continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing quality data, identifying trends, and implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Customer Feedback Management:  Monitor customer complaints related to product quality, investigate root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Documentation and Reporting:  Maintain accurate records of quality control checks, audits, and corrective actions, and report on key quality metrics to senior management.
Training and Development:  Develop training programs to educate staff on quality standards and procedures, promoting a culture of quality throughout the organization.
Crisis Management:  Manage quality-related crises such as product recalls, coordinating with relevant teams to resolve issues swiftly and minimize impact.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Quality Control or Food Technology. A master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., ISO 22000 - FSMS, ISO 9001) is a plus.
Minimum 5 years of experience in quality management within the FMCG sector, preferably in food industry.  Candidates not meeting this criteria, please don’t apply
Strong knowledge of quality control processes, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements relevant to FMCG.
Proven experience in managing quality teams and leading quality improvement projects.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Proficient in quality management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
