Experience required: 5 years experience into ServiceNow is a mustRole Overview:- We are seeking a ServiceNow CMDB Implementation Expert to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ServiceNow platform.- The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in CMDB architecture, discovery, service mapping, and integration with ITSM/ITOM modules, ensuring accurate configuration data and alignment with ITIL best practices.Key Responsibilities:- Lead end-to-end implementation of ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring accurate configuration item (CI) data and relationships.- Design and maintain the CMDB data model, including CI classes, attributes, and relationships.- Configure and optimize Discovery and Service Mapping to ensure automated and reliable population of CMDB data.- Integrate CMDB with ITSM, ITOM, and other enterprise systems for real-time updates and visibility.- Define and enforce data governance, data quality, and reconciliation policies.- Develop CMDB dashboards, reports, and data health metrics.- Collaborate with stakeholders to align CMDB strategy with business and IT operations.- Conduct workshops, gather requirements, and translate business needs into technical configurations.- Provide knowledge transfer and documentation for ongoing CMDB operations and maintenance.Required Skills & Experience:- 5 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow implementation, with at least 3+ years focused on CMDB and Discovery.- Strong understanding of ITIL processes, especially Configuration Management.- Proven experience in Service Mapping, Discovery probes/sensors, and MID Server configuration.- Proficiency in ServiceNow ITOM, ITSM, and related modules.- Experience with data integrations (REST, SOAP, API, etc.) and import sets/transform maps.- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for CMDB data integrity and performance issues.- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – CMDB / Discovery / ITOM preferred.
