What are the Key Deliverables in this role?Financial OutcomesAssess impact of changes in Tax laws and regulations – effective and timely communication to businessCollaborating with business on tax implications on any new transactionsSupport in various projects viz. mergers, etc.Customer ServiceIdentify and support business on various direct tax mattersRepresent company before tax authorities – tax assessmentsEnsure adequate and timely reply to tax notices, assessment, reassessment, appeal or investigation proceedingsCo-ordination with tax consultantsAssist in automation and setting processes related to direct tax mattersInternal ProcessesAdvance Tax working (quarterly) and timely paymentCalculation of quarterly tax provisions, effective tax rate working and deferred tax workingsReconciliation of numbers related to tax provisions, tax returns and tax orders thereby giving relevant information to the accounting teamOversee TDS and TCS Working; payment on timely basis and filing of quarterly TDS statementsPreparation of data for Tax audits, assistance in preparation of tax computation, ITR filling & filing and reporting for tax numbers for financialsAssistance in collation of data in relation to finalizing Transfer pricing study reports, Form 3 CEBIncome-TDS reconciliation of books vs Form 26 ASInnovation and LearningStay updated on changes to tax lawsWhat are the Critical success factors for the Role?Qualification –Chartered Accountant2-5 Years of experience in Direct TaxWork experience (business partnering experience preferred)Strong analytical ability and interpersonal skillsWhat are the Desirable success factors for the Role?Ensure 100% tax complianceEffective management of tax risk and efficiencies
