About the role

We are looking for a skilled and motivated Functional Analyst / Solution Designer to strengthen our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) product team. You will translate business needs into functional specifications, design solutions, and act as the bridge between business and development teams in a global digital transformation environment.

Responsibilities
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications and solution designs (with strong attention to UI/UX).
  • Collaborate with developers, technical leads, and stakeholders to ensure alignment between design and implementation.
  • Analyze and optimize manufacturing processes to identify digitalization opportunities.
  • Support testing, validation, and deployment of MES features.
  • Document functional flows, user stories, and system behavior.
  • Contribute to defining a clear product roadmap.
  • Act as a key interface between business and technical teams throughout the lifecycle.
Candidate profile
  • You hold a degree in IT, Computer Science, or Engineering - or bring equivalent hands-on experience in Production IT technology.
  • 3–5 years of experience in functional analysis or solution design for custom MES or similar manufacturing systems.
  • Solid understanding of manufacturing operations and systems (MES, WMS, APS, PLE).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in Agile or project-based environments.
  • Familiarity with SAP and SQL (plus).
  • Basic knowledge of Azure.
  • Knowledge of data management concepts and integration techniques.
  • Understanding of REST APIs, security essentials, and asynchronous communication (Kafka is a plus).
  • Familiarity with IoT communication protocols (MQTT, OPC UA).
  • Excellent communication skills in English.
  • Independent, team-oriented, and flexible.
  • Willingness to spend up to 6 months in Belgium for onboarding and comfortable with international travel (15%).

  • A Roll-out Engineer
  • A team of Developers
  • Reporting line to the Product Owner - Manufacturing
