Job DescriptionExperience Level Required:

A Trusted performer on a wide range of client-facing consultancy projects in either the private and public sectors.

Ability to participate in multi-disciplinary teams and to work independently (with limited supervision).

Performs professional level analysis requiring technical skills and independent initiative within a well-defined programme of work.

Senior Team leader with the ability to deputise for the senior responsible person and coach and mentor more junior staff.

Contacts with clients predominantly at a working level. Can engage with clients at a strategic/management level if required.

Likely to have 4 to 6 years of substantial professional experience in their specialized field.

Key Responsibilities:

Review functional design specifications.

Write detailed acceptance criteria (A/C) ensuring QA compliant.

Identify data requirements for testing.

Peer review A/C from other team members.

Execute test criteria.

Raise defects (Bugs) to development team.

Support business users during business process testing (BPT).

Adhere to Revenue’s Testing processes and documentation standards.

Document testing processes.

Coaching and mentoring junior testers.

Contributing to the improvement of testing processes and procedures in Revenue.

Supporting team leads in all aspects of their work.

Develop familiarity of the processes within the domain.

Key Requirements:

ISTQB Certified Tester.

Excellent written and oral communication skills.

Sound grasp of the fundamentals of taxation, from registration through to returns filing and payment options.

SQL/XML/Unix/JSON skills and associated tools.

Experience of creating acceptance criteria.

Experience of using Testing Tools including issue tracking Tools

Experience in the breadth of different types of testing such as:

System Testing

User Acceptance Testing

Regression Testing

Disturbance Testing

Conformance Testing.

Knowledge of Testing standards and approaches.

Ability to operate within Waterfall, Agile or Hybrid methodologies.

Experience in providing testing estimates and providing input to documentation.

Experience interacting with testers, business owners and users, application development and technical colleagues.
