Role Summary:

We are seeking a talented and experienced QA Lead to head quality assurance for one of our travel verticals.This role will have the primary accountability of driving the complete quality assurance programme for one of your SaaS, API first products. You will be leading a team of QA Engineers and will be directly involved in designing test cases, implementing and executing API and UI test automation. Both automation and manual test execution experience is required.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership and problem-solving skills, along with a solid technical background and experience leading quality assurance teams.

Responsibilities:

- QA team management & leadership during all test design and execution stages.- Advisory during sprint planning sessions of new product features.- Coordination of the full test automation and execution lifecycle.- Functional requirements gathering, analysis, test design, execution and reporting.- Non-functional test design, including stress,load, usability and execution using JMeter.- Compatibility testing using various platforms and browsers.- Defect identification and documentation.

Qualifications:

- 10+ years of relevant professional experience leading QA automation teams, designing and developing tests.- Expertise in API and UI test automation using modern tools and approaches e.g. Karate, Playwright or Cypress.- Experience designing and executing integration, system, smoke, sanity and user acceptance tests.- Systematic problem-solving approach coupled with a strong sense of ownership and drive.- Experience with project management tools like Jira or similar.- Experience with test execution in CI/CD pipelines.- Familiarity with network protocols and REST best practices.- Familiarity with PostgreSQL and NoSQL datastores such as MongoDB/Couchbase.- Experience with Agile or Scrum software development methodologies.- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.- Experience in test case automation for GraphQL services is a plus.- Experience working in a highly distributed company is a plus.
