At Pier39.ai, we are rewriting the rules of digital advertising in the post purchase domain Founded in 2022, we are a seed-stage company backed by some of the best VCs, and the founding team has experience scaling multi-billion-dollar businesses at Amazon and LinkedIn. This role is a unique opportunity to be a core member of a super-fast-paced and highly ambitious startup environment. As we launch a new and innovative ad product, we're seeking someone to help take our product to market and scale it to $10M in ad sales within the next 12 months. Responsibilities Designing, implementing, and optimizing the performance ad server Design, develop and support data pipelines Collaborate and influence stakeholders and support engineers to ensure our data infrastructure meets constantly evolving requirements Work closely with product engineers to create, test, and maintain data models Contribute to engineering efforts from planning and organization to execution and delivery to solving complex engineering problems Take initiative and be responsible for technical solutions to data quality and workflow challenges Write and review technical documents, including design, development, and revision documents Qualifications 5+ years of work experience as a Backend Engineer Experience in software design, development, and algorithm related solutions.Advanced knowledge of modern data pipeline architecture and the AWS/GCP ecosystem Experience in performing root cause analysis on data logging and ingestion processes, identifying opportunities to improve instrumentation and observability Experience with APIs Self-motivated and passionate about bringing efficiency into the system through optimizations. Able to set the standard for other engineers by proposing and driving innovative ideas.
